Moreno Valley is asking its residents to purchase military appreciation banners and pavers.
The city installs both items to show support of local military personnel and their families, according to statement on the city’s website.
To be honored with a banner, the person must be on active duty in the U.S. military. They are installed on streetlight poles near city hall and March Air Reserve Base at a cost of $190.
Pavers, which cost $200, are placed around the Veterans Memorial at the Moreno Valley Civic Center. Veterans are eligible for a paver.
