Riverside will open the Arlington Park Pickleball Complex, with a grand opening ceremony scheduled to be held 10 a.m. Dec. 13.
The nine-court complex, which cost a reported $1.1 million to build and took nearly one year to complete, is part of Riverside’s effort to provide recreation for residents of all ages, according to a statement on the city’s website.
Two of the courts will have bleachers for tournaments, and all nine will have lights. The complex is part of the larger Riverside Sports Complex & Entertainment District development on the former Ab Brown Sports Complex site.
The event is free and open to the public. Arlington Park’s entrances are at 9598 Miller St. (general access) and 3860 Van Buren Blvd.
