Coachella Valley welcomes Acrisure Arena

The multipurpose arena in Palm Springs scheduled to open later this year has been give its official name: Acrisure Arena.

The 11,500 seat facility expected to host more than 150 events a year – including the home games of the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League – is being named after a financial services company based in Grand Rapids, Mich., according to a statement.

Oak View Group LLC, developer of the arena, on Wednesday announced a 10-year naming agreement with Acrisure, which provides intelligence-driven financial services, including insurance, asset management and real estate.

“We are proud to announce our naming rights agreement with Acrisure,” said Tim Leiweke, chief executive officer of the Oak View Group, in the statement. “Acrisure Arena will be the crown jewel of the entire Coachella Valley and a major destination for the biggest artists, concerts, and sporting events in the world.”

The agreement allows Acrisure to place permanent signs outside the arena. It also gives the company entitlement to the arena’s largest premium private hospitality space and logo placement on the roof, center ice, and scoreboards throughout the venue.

Acrisure Partners, customers, and employees will also enjoy extensive VIP hospitality opportunities.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Acrisure Arena is being developed on 43.3 acres at Interstate 10 and Cook Street, property owned by the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation. The building will cover more than 300,000 square feet, according to the statement.
