Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc, the chain of restaurant/gift shops with a distinct southern theme, will open its first California location in Victorville.
The company has submitted plans to build and operate on 1.3 acres immediately south of BJ’s Brewhouse and Restaurant, which is at 11600 Amargosa Road, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The restaurant will cover 9,550 square feet. Nearly 1,300 square feet will be underneath a covered porch, suitable for outdoor dining.
VantageOne Real Estate Investments in Newport Beach, which has built multiple retail projects in the Inland Empire, is developing the project.
Cracker Barrel will be a “wonderful addition” to Victorville’s growing Restaurant Row, which is home to 14 dining establishments on Amargosa Road next to Interstate 15 and Bear Valley Road, Mayor Gloria Garcia said.
“We’re thrilled this major retailer will be building its first California location in Victorville,” Garcia said in the statement. “This speaks to the strength of our city’s retail market.”
Cracker Barrel is based in Lebanon, Tenn. The company and its affiliates operate 641 locations in 43 states, according to the company’s website.
