The deadline to submit nominations for this year’s Spirit of Entrepreneur Awards has been extended for two weeks, to Aug. 15.
The awards, given out every fall by the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino, recognizes the top entrepreneurs in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Nominees are judged based on their innovation, leadership, performance, character, and entrepreneurial mindset. Nominees must own a business or be primarily responsible for a business’s performance.
Award recipients are selected from an annual pool of more than 200 nominees.

The Spirit Awards is a black-tie gala featuring a red carpet, cocktails, VIP networking receptions, awards presentations and three-course dining.
This year’s event marks the Spirit Awards’ 20th Anniversary. It is scheduled to be held Nov. 17 at the Riverside Convention Center.
