Denny named Fontana city manager

Mark Denny has been name Fontana’s city manager.

Denny, who has more than 25 years experience in local, county and state government, is scheduled to assume office April 6, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Following an extensive search, Denny was selected to succeed Ken Hunt, who retired in July.  Michael Milhiser has served as interim city manager since then.

Most recently, Denny was city manager in Dana Point and, before that, Orange County’s chief operating officer.

“Mark Denny is an ideal choice to lead our staff and help us, as elected leaders, move our city into the future,” Mayor Acquanetta Warren said in the statement. “We look forward to working with Mark to help guide us forward.”
