Stirling Development, builder of the 2,500-acre Southern California Logistics Centre in Victorville, has hired Jason M. Huber as project manager.
Huber will oversee the logistics center and other Stirling developments, with his duties to include engineering, construction, entitlements and completion of projects, according to a statement released Tuesday by Stirling.
“We welcome Jason Huber’s solid management approach and his ability to step right in at a high level,” said Brian D. Parno, Stirling’s chief operating officer, in the statement. “His style and integrity fit in well with our team, and his proven ability to get things done through a high level of communication will be an asset for years to come.”
Southern California Logistics Centre is part of the 8,500-acre Global Access Victorville, which is the conversion of the former George Air Force Base to civilian use. Boeing, Dr. Pepper-Snapple, FedEx, Newell Rubbermaid, Mars Chocolate and United Furniture Industries are among the major corporations that have located there.
Global Access Victorville is expected to create more than 24,000 jobs when it’s completed, according the statement.
