A general merchandise discount chain will open its first Southern California store in the Inland Empire.
GMD Stores has signed a 10-year lease to locate at Canyon Springs Riverside, a shopping center at 2800 Campus Parkway, according to NAI Capital.
NAI represented the landlord in the transaction. Financial terms of the agreement, and an opening date, were not released.
GMD Stores will occupy a 10,000-square-foot site that was formerly home to Famous Footwear. It’s tenants include Target, Five Below, PetSmart, Chick-fil-A, and McDonald’s.
“This is a strong location for GMD to establish its presence in the region, surrounded by national retailers and positioned in a high-traffic corridor,” said Steve Liu, executive vice president with NAI Capital, in a statement.
Canyon Springs Riverside is at Canyon Springs Parkway and Day Street, an intersection used by more than 270,000 vehicles on a typical day, according to the statement.
