Construction will begin on a substance abuse treatment center in Bloomington.
The Cedar House Life Change Center is scheduled to host a groundbreaking ceremony July 16 that will mark the start of the 70-bed facility, according to a statement.
The project will be built with $30 million in state funding, part of $3.3 billon being distributed statewide through an infrastructure bond program operated by the Department of Healthcare Services.
Cedar House will build the two-story, 32,000-square-foot structure on its main campus. It will including meeting rooms and offices, and space will leased at no charge for outpatient services.
“We are excited to celebrate the progress we’ve made with this development, and look ahead with anticipation for Cedar House’s future with this new construction,” said Jamie Lamb, Cedar House’s chief executive officer, in the statement.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cedar House’s headquarters, 18612 Santa Ana Ave.
