Bryon Russell, who played 16 seasons in the NBA, will be master of ceremonies for the 2018 Piano Recital and Gala, a fundraiser held by the board of directors of the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County.
This year’s event will raise money for the partnership’s food bank, which serves 40,000 households in the county, according to a statement.
The food bank has distributed more than 200 million pounds of food, free of charge, since it was started in 1984.
Community Action Legacy Awards will be presented to individuals and agencies who have worked to alleviate poverty and hunger in San Bernardino County.
This year’s event is scheduled to be held at 4 p.m. Oct., 6 in the Memorial Chapel at University of Redlands, 1200 E. Colton Ave.
