Inland Women Fighting Cancer, the group that partners with Stater Bros. Charities to organize the Believe Walk in Redlands, has been named 2015 Volunteer Group of the Year by the Inland Empire chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Officials with IWFC accepted the award at the chapter’s award luncheon, which was held Nov. 17 at the Mission Inn in Riverside, according to a Stater Bros.’ release.

Since 2008, the 40-member group and Stater Bros. Charities have held the annual walk in downtown Redlands that is attended by more 10,000 people. This year’s event was held Oct 4.

Believe Walk in Redlands has raised about $3 million for cancer research since it began, according to the release.
