Hemet is accepting applications for its 2025–2026 Community Grant Funding Program.
One hundred thousand dollars has been allotted for this year’s program, for requests ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The program provides financial support to local non-profit and community-based organizations that provide services to Hemet residents. Eligible programs include community events that are advertised and open to the public, and projects or services that promote art, culture, education, youth or family well-being.
To be eligible an applicant must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, be in good standing with the state government, provide a project or service that helps Hemet residents, and have insurance. It should also provide insurance for Hemet if required to do so.
Grants may not be used for salaries, scholarships, or to pay debts. Funding is not guaranteed, and will be awarded based on eligibility, merit, and community benefit, according to the statement.
Applications are available at city hall and at www.hemetca.gov.
