Ryan Hunt has been named Cathedral City’s communications and events manager.
Hunt, who started work on Aug. 22, spent the last eight years in Arlington, Texas, where he oversaw the city’s communications office, according to a statement on Cathedral City’s website.
While there he led multiple projects, including COVID-19 communications and outreach, the 2020 Census campaign, news content for the city’s website and social media pages, and marketing content for economic development projects.
A 2011 graduate of Virginia Tech University, Hunt also worked at the NBC affiliate in Roanoke, Va., where he was a news producer for three years.
“I’m incredibly honored and excited to join the talented team here at Cathedral City and to build on the city’s mission to create an inclusive community and to provide high-quality services,” Hunt said in the statement.
