One of the largest dental providers in the United States has bought a practice in the Inland Empire.
Western Dental purchased Choice Family Dentistry, 1688 N. Perris Blvd. in Perris for an undisclosed sum, according to a statement released Tuesday.
The company, which earlier this year acquired 14 Smile Wide offices in Southern California, will expand Choice Family Dentistry’s orthodontic services, provide more access for Denti-Cal patients and operate six days a week.
Choice Family Dentistry employs three hygienists, two dentists and two specialists. One of the specialists is an orthodontist, according to the statement.
Western Dental employs more than 4,500 people, including more than 700 dentists and number of specialists, including periodontists, endodontists, oral surgeons and dental implant specialists.
Along with its affiliate, Brident Dental & Orthodontics, Western Dental serves more than two million patients a year in more than 220 clinics in California, Texas, Arizona and Nevada, according to the statement.
