More than 500 people attended a job fair last Thursday at San Bernardino Valley College.
The East End Regional Job Fair featured roughly 650 jobs, mostly in logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, construction, hospitality and education, according to a report in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
About 30 employers attended the three-hour event, which was sponsored by the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Department.
In today’s tight job market, a job seeker often has to fill out 20 to 25 applications just to get one response, according to the report.
The development department holds job fairs in the High Desert, East Valley and West Valley parts of the county. The West Valley Job Fair is scheduled to be held Sept. 26 at the Ontario Convention Center.
