Chris Johnson has been named Apple Valley’s employee of the quarter for the second quarter of 2022.
Johnson is the town’s innovation and technology coordinator, responsible for overseeing wireless systems, recreation software, cashiering and phone systems, according to a statement on the town’s website.
“Chris has played a vital role over the past few years in the revitalization of the employee help desk, and the replacement of all town network infrastructure at civic center, public works, and animal services,” Mayor Kari Leon said in the statement. “We are very pleased with the efforts of both Chris and his team in keeping our computer systems efficient and up to date.”
Nominations for employees of the quarter are submitted by peers or management, and the town manager selects the nominee.
Johnson was honored at Tuesday’s town council meeting.
