Mikaila Kruse has been named chief of staff to Riverside Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson.
Kruse previously served as the acting legislative director to State Sen. Richard Roth (D-Riverside) in Sacramento, according to a statement on the city’s website.
She began work Oct. 25.
“I am excited to get back to Riverside to work with Mayor Lock Dawson on efforts that are important to the community,” Kruse said in the statement. “There are challenges and opportunities ahead, and I am eager to contribute ideas and develop solutions.”
Kruse has worked political campaigns, voter registration drives, and as a substitute teacher. She also interned in the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C.
