Last chance to sign up for water conference

Registration for this year’s Southern California Water Conference is scheduled to end Friday.

The conference, sponsored by the Baldy View Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, will be a virtual event this year, according to a statement.

Wade Crowfoot, California’s secretary for natural resources and a member of Gov. Newsom’s cabinet will be the keynote speaker.  The online conference is scheduled to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 14.

The annual conference, normally held at the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, attracts about 300 people. It brings together members of the public and private sector for a series of speeches and panel discussions on how to bring clean, safe water to residences and businesses in California.
