Recent graduates of the California University of Science and Medicine in Colton have received their residency placements.
Sixty six percent will perform their residency in Southern California, with 28 percent of those graduates remaining in the Inland Empire, according to a statement released by the university.
Most of the remaining graduates will do their residency – a training period at a healthcare facility that can last three to seven years – in Northern California.
Ninety seven percent of the class received a residency assignment.
Twenty-six of the 2025 graduates will perform their residencies at CUSM partner hospitals, including Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside University Health System, Eisenhower Medical Center, and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center
Arrowhead Regional is CUSM’s primary teaching partner.
The residencies were announced on March 21 – Match Day – the annual end of the National Resident Matching Program, according to the statement.
