Logistics company finds bigger site in Chino

A logistics company has signed a pre-lease agreement at an industrial park in Chino.

Sunset Pacific Transportation will occupy 136,200 square feet at the Chino Industrial Center, 14522 Yorba Ave, according to a statement released this week.

Sunset Pacific is a freight consolidation company that ships goods nationwide. The company currently occupies space at 13875 Norton Ave. in Chino.

Terms of the lease, which is scheduled begin next March, were not disclosed.

Sunset Pacific needed more space but wanted to remain in Chino, said Ron Washle, Newmark executive managing director.

“This facility is the perfect fit, and it’s one of the only available buildings ranging from 100,000 to 150,000 square feet in the city,” Washle said in the statement. “The [Inland Empire] industrial market is extremely robust, with vacancy rates at all-time lows and rental rates at all-time highs.”

The Yorba Avenue building is owned by ProLogis Inc., a real estate investment trust in San Francisco that specializes in industrial properties.
