McNiff wins USC award

Greg McNiff, president and chief operating officer of Stater Bros. Markets Inc, has been named the 2024 Executive of the Year by the USC Marshall School of Business.

The award is presented to a food industry executive who has shown strong leadership skills and a commitment to education, according to a statement on Stater Bros.’ website.

“Greg joins a long list of highly respected servant leaders honored as executive of the year,” said said Cynthia McCloud, director of the Marshall School’s food Industry programs, in the statement. “Greg is determined to help those who have a goal to get a college degree.”

McNiff began working in the supermarket industry more than 40 years ago as a courtesy clerk. He worked retail operations, marketing, merchandising, and integration before joining San Bernardino-based Stater Bros., one of the larges private employers in the Inland Empire.

McNiff has held his current title with Stater Bros. since 2019, according to the statement.
