Moreno Valley residents have been asked to provide their views on Moreno Valley’s Sister City partnership with San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico.
An online survey, which began Jan. 5, asks residents how valuable they believe that relationship is and how it might be improved, according to a statement on Moreno Valley’s website.
“This program will help to foster meaningful cultural and educational exchanges between Moreno Valley and San Juan de los Lagos,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “We are excited to see these two communities cement a bond and kinship in the coming years, and enhanced even further by the support of local community and cultural organizations.”
Moreno Valley began its Sister City relationship with San Juan de los Lagos in 1993, and it hosted a delegation from that city three years ago. However, the relationship has waned since the pandemic, according to the statement.
