On The Move

Upland Police Chief Jeff Mendenhall has announced that he will retire.

Mendenhall, who has spent 32 years on the job, made the announcement Tuesday via e-mail, according to report in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.

He will stay on the job until a replacement is found, a process that is expected to take four to eight months, according to the report.

Mendenhall will help with recruiting and selecting Upland’s next police chief, according to the report.
