Navarrete named head of IE Children’s Fund

Cesar Navarrete has been named president and chief executive officer of the Inland Empire Children’s Fund.

A Moreno Valley resident, Navarrete has served as executive director of Child Advocates for San Bernardino County for the past eight years, according to a statement on the children’s fund website.

Under his leadership, Child Advocates received the Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Award in 2020.

Before that, Navarrete worked for the Family Services Association, a Riverside County nonprofit, and the Mead Valley Community Center, where he worked his way up to director of programs administration.

“Cesar impressed the search committee with his abilities as a visionary builder and his compassion for children and families,” said Kristin Pierce, chair of the Children’s Fund board of directors, in the statement.  “He is the ideal person to lead us into a new era of service to the San Bernardino County.”
