No live audience for Riverside state of city

Riverside’s state of the city address this year will be a virtual event.

Scheduled to be held Feb. 24, the address by Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson will be streamed on Riverside TV – www.WatchRiverside.com – and social media, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Local cable television outlets – AT&T Ch. 99, Spectrum Ch. 3 and Frontier Ch. 21 – will carry the speech, “Building Tomorrow Today,” which will have no in-person audience because of concerns about the latest outbreak of COVID-19 cases.

Lock Dawson will begin her remarks at 5:30 p.m. The event will be sponsored by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce.
