Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti will meet next month with Ontario officials in an attempt to revive talks regarding who will control Ontario International Airport.
No date for the discussions has been set, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
Los Angeles has owned and operated the airport for several decades, but passenger traffic since 2007s to mid-1980s levels and Ontario is trying to get control of the facility.
Garcetti is standing by his pledge to seek a no-profit reimbursement from Los Angeles in exchange for control of the airport, and local officials are optimistic a deal can be worked out, the report stated.
