Elizabeth Sanchez-Monville has been named to Riverside’s board of public utilities.
A Riverside native and 32-year resident, Sanchez-Monville has spent 17 years working in legislative affairs, including time as a legislative aide for the U.S. House of Representatives and an assistant to former Riverside Mayor Ron Loveridge, according to a statement.
Sanchez-Monville was Riverside Public Utilities’ senior legislative analyst, where she managed that agency’s state and federal legislative policy portfolio.
She has also worked with the Association of California Water Agencies and the Southern California Public Power Authority.
“Elizabeth’s many years in state and federal legislative affairs, broad knowledge of the California water and power regulatory environment and knowledge of RPU itself will be of great benefit … to our board,” General Manager Girish Balachandran said in the statement.
