California State Treasurer John Chiang will speak July 13 in Rancho Cucamonga, the third gubernatorial candidate to participate in the Inland Empire Economic Partnership’s 2017 Speaker Series.
The event, which will be presented by Coca-Cola and the Southern California Newspaper Group, is scheduled to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Universal Technical Institute, 9494 Haven Ave., according to a statement.
Cost to attend the luncheon is $50.
Chiang was elected treasurer in 2014. Before that he was state controller and served two terms on the state Board of Equalization, including three years as its chair. He began his career as a tax law specialist with the Internal Revenue Service.
The Speaker Series allows state leaders to share their insights on regional issues with members of the Inland Empire community, including job creation, economic development and education.
