November was another solid month for Ontario International Airport.

575,877 passengers passed through the airport last month, 12.4 percent more than in November 2022, according to data released earlier this month by the Ontario International Airport Authority.

That included 535,507 domestic and 40,370 international travelers, increases of 8.9 percent and 98.9 percent.

During the first 11 months of 2023, Ontario International accommodated more than 5.8 million passengers – 5.5 million domestic fliers and 374,000 international travelers, an 11.7 percent increase compared with the same period in 2022.

“Ontario International continues to show strong passenger growth,” said Atif Elkadi, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority, in a statement. “By the last week of November, our airport had exceeded the total passenger count we achieved in 2022.”

68,000 tons of freight and mail moved through the airport in November, seven percent lower than in November 2022. Year-to-date, cargo totaled 672,000 tons, 11.8 percent lower than the first 11 months of last year, the authority reported.
