ONT fills new executive position

Mark Haneke has been named Ontario International Airport’s chief marketing and air service strategy officer, a new position.

A 30-year aviation executive, Haneke will help continue Ontario International’s recovery from COVID-19 while overseeing its growth in commercial air service, according to a statement on the airport’s website.

Haneke will also be in charge of marketing, communications, community engagement, customer experience and digital media operations.

He is scheduled to begin work June 6.

“I’m thrilled to join the Ontario International team at such an exciting time,” Haneke said in the statement. “I’m optimistic about Ontario International’s upside potential given the Inland Empire’s strong economic outlook, [and] I look forward to ensuring that it captures a growing share of SoCal air traffic.”

During his time at Sacramento International, seating capacity has grown 28 percent and flight departures 22 percent, to destinations that include Boston, Florida, Hawaii, Mexico, New York, Vancouver and Washington, D.C., according to the statement.
