Palm Springs looks to help businesses buy security cameras

Palm Springs is offering grants to businesses for the purchase and installation of security cameras on their commercial properties.

The Commercial Security Camera System Pilot Grant Program will provide up to $500 to a business, with the money to be paid to the business or property owner based on the purchase and installation cost, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Currently, the city has $20,000 budgeted for the program.

Grants will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information about the program and to download a fillable grant application, visit palmspringsca.gov/securitycameraprogram.
