Perris launches online streaming service

Perris has begun a 24-hour online streaming channel on its YouTube page.

The service, which began early this month, allows residents to access Perris TV from their computer, tablet or smart phone regardless of where they are, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Until now, PTV content has been available only on Perris’ public access channel. Now, the PTV YouTube Channel provides 24-hour-a-day content, from local news, council meetings, city business and event information. It also provides workout classes, virtual zoom classes and children’s programming.

The PTV studio is in the Clarence Muse Center, which opened one year ago next to the Perris Senior Center. To access this channel from a computer, tablet or smart phone device, use www.youtube.com/c/PerrisTV.

The city’s Information Technology Department provides all content on PTV. The department is developing “new content across multiple genres,” according to the statement.
