Palm Springs International Airport has started its seasonal flight schedule early this year.
Alaska Airlines’ nonstop service between Palm Springs and Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport began Sept. 10, more than six weeks earlier than last year, according to statement on the airport’s website.
The seasonal route will operate five days a week daily, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays, through April 25.
Four other seasonal routes are starting earlier than they did last year:
- Delta Airlines to Minneapolis, Sept. 12 (24 days earlier)
- United Airlines to Houston, Sept. 24 (38 days earlier)
- Alaska Airlines to Boise, Nov. 20 (49 days earlier)
- Southwest Airlines to Austin, Nov. 21 (106 days earlier).
“Seasonal service is starting earlier, and that means more options for our travelers for more of the year,” said Victoria Carpenter, interim executive director of aviation at Palm Springs International Airport, in the statement. “Santa Rosa is a great way to kick things off, and we’re excited to see airline partners continue extending popular routes beyond the traditional peak winter season.
