Palm Springs International Airport

PSP had solid passenger growth in 2025

More than 3.3 million passengers used Palm Springs International Airport in 2025, 2.4 percent year-over-year increase, according to a statement on the city’s website.

The airport recorded five of its busiest months ever, including its single busiest – March – when nearly half a million air travelers passed through the turnstiles, officials at the city-owned airport reported.

Palm Springs International experienced nine months of year-over-year passenger growth in 2025.

“We’re proud to see more travelers choosing to fly from Palm Springs,” said Harry Barrett, Jr., executive director of aviation, in the statement. “Every trip that starts here supports local jobs, helps sustain the regional economy, and creates momentum for expanding nonstop air service that benefits the Coachella Valley.”

Despite handing a record number of passengers, Palm Springs International had an estimated 3,800 fewer commercial flights las year than it did before the pandemic. Airport official are attributing that decline to airlines using larger aircraft that carry more passengers, according to the statement.
