Thomas Cruz-Soto Jr. has been named interim vice president of student services at Riverside City College.
Cruz has served as the school’s dean of student services, where he was responsible for student programs such as EOP&S/CARE, Veterans Services, and the Guardian Scholars program, according to a statement on the school’s website.
During the 2022-’23 academic year, Cruz was interim vice president of student services, where he led strategic initiatives and supported program development to expand student services.
Cruz has also established partnerships with community organizations such as the NAACP Riverside and Latino Network, further helping RCC’s role in supporting students and fostering community relationships, according to the statement.
