Thomas A. Horan has been installed as dean of the University of Redlands’ School of Business.
Horan, who has been running the business school since July, officially assumed office Saturday during ceremony overseen by Ralph W. Kuncl, the university’s president, according to a statement.
Before joining the University of Redlands, Horan spent 22 years on the faculty of Claremont Graduate University. In 2011 he was appointed dean of the School of Information Systems and Technology, and four years later he was made dean of the Drucker School of Management, according to his biography on the school’s website.
Horan has been a visiting scholar at Harvard, MIT, Hong Kong University, University of Hawaii, and the University of Minnesota.
Before becoming an academic, Horan served as a senior analyst for the U.S. Congress’s Government Accountability Office.
