Riverside County nears 4,000 cases of COVID-19

Riverside County has confirmed 3,942 cases of COVID-19, and 142 confirmed deaths from the disease caused by Coronavirus, local health care officials reported.

More than 48,500 residents have been tested for the disease, and 215 people have been placed in hospital because of it, the Riverside University Health System reported Wednesday on its website.

One hundred seventy eight of those hospitalized were in intensive care.

One thousand three hundred and forty six residents have recovered from COVID-19, which has killed more than three million people worldwide, according to the World Health Organization.

Riverside has 672 confirmed cases of the disease, and 33 deaths, according to the RUHS website.
