Riverside and Moreno Valley have been declared among the top 50 “green fleets” in North America for 2025.
Riverside was ranked 27th, and Moreno Valley 47th by the NAFA Fleet Management Association in Boston, a nonprofit trade association for managers of public and private vehicle fleets.
The award recognizes agencies that stand out in electrification, emissions reduction, and clean fleet technologies. It focuses on overall sustainability, not just the number of electric vehicles an organization uses.
This is the first time Moreno Valley has made the list. It was also named a notable fleet in NAFA’s government fleet category.
“Greener really is greater,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “This recognition reflects our commitment to cleaner air, and healthier neighborhoods, that makes life better for every resident.”
Santa Clara County (2), UC Irvine (3), Sacramento County (9), UCLA (14), San Diego (15), Sacramento (21), Ventura County (31) Alameda County (34), and Fairfield (50) were the other California entities that made the list.
