Savers to set up shop in Rancho Cucamonga

Savers Value Village, the discount store chain, will locate in Rancho Cucamonga.

The Bellevue, Wash-based company has signed a 10-year lease to occupy 23,500 square feet at 9640 Baseline Road, according to Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The property was formerly home to 99 Cents Only, the discount chain that is no longer in business.

The Rancho Cucamonga store is expected to open by the end of this year.  It will anchor an 80,000-square-foot neighborhood shopping center that includes US Bank, Dairy Queen, and several shops and services.

A co-anchor tenant is expected to be announced soon.

Savers Value Village, which specializes in household goods and clothing and accessories, was founded in 1954 in San Francisco. It operates more than 300 stores in the United States, Canada, and Australia, and is the largest chain of thrift stores in North America, according to the company’s website.
