The Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the annual San Bernardino County Forecast Conference, scheduled to be held May 1 at the Ontario Convention Center.
Registration and networking will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by an information program from 8:30 to 11 a.m. presented by the UC Riverside School of Business Center for Economic Forecasting and Development, according to a statement.
The program will focus on several topics, including the state of the U.S. economy, the impact of the recently passed federal tax reform program, the growing U.S. labor shortage and, locally, the future of Ontario International Airport.
Speakers will include Michael Krouse, president and chief executive officer of the Convention & Visitors Bureau, Christopher Thornberg, economist and director of the UC Riverside School of Business Center; Reg Javier, deputy executive officer of workforce and economic development for San Bernardino County and Mark Thorpe, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority.
