SB mobile veterinary clinic launch put on hold

San Bernardino will soon launch a mobile veterinary clinic that will allow the city’s Animal Services Department to provide treatments throughout the city, including spay and neuter procedures, vaccinations, and microchipping.

The mobile clinic was to have been introduced Feb. 20 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Secombe Park, but that event was postponed because of the rain, according to a statement on the city’s website.

A new date feature has not been announced.

The clinic, which will include a surgery room, is being paid for with a $1.1 million grant from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians.

“Residents have been asking us to add a mobile clinic to our Animal Services Department for a long time,” said Mayor Helen Tran in the statement. “We are grateful to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians for making this possible.”
