Sprouts to open in MoVal

A grand opening ceremony is scheduled to be held July 8 at Sprouts Farmers Market in Moreno Valley.

The store, at 24101 Hemlock Ave., will open at 7 a.m., one hour before ceremony is scheduled to begin, according to a statement released by the city.

Based in Phoenix, Sprouts operates 20 stores in the Inland Empire. The Moreno Valley store is expected to employ about 100 full and part-time workers, according to The Shelby Report, on online publication that covers the grocery industry.

Sprouts is known for its natural and organic foods and groceries, many of which come from local merchants and farms.

“I am honored that Sprouts Farmers Market has chosen Moreno Valley for their newest location,” said Moreno Valley Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “Sprouts has grown Moreno Valley’s high-quality organic food options, and it can help residents cultivate a healthier lifestyle. As a Sprouts fan, I look forward to shopping here.”
