Stater Bros. to be anchor tenant at Chino project

Stater Bros. will be the grocery anchor tenant at Town Center at the Preserve, which is expected to open in Chino next year.

That project, developed by Lewis Retail Centers in Upland, will cover nearly 170,000 square feet at Main Street and Pine Avenue, according to a statement on Lewis Retail’s website.

Town Center at the Preserve will be the centerpiece of masterplanned community.

A new Stater Bros. typically covers between 44,000 and 45,000 square feet and employs about 150 people. It features full-service meat, seafood, service deli and bakery departments.

Based in San Bernardino, Stater Bros, is the largest privately owned supermarket chain in Southern California and the largest private employer in the Inland Empire. It owns and operates 171 supermarkets and employs about 18,000 people, according to the company’s website.
