Stoffel names Stater’s VP of marketing

Paul Stoffel has been named Stater Bros. Markets’ vice president of marketing.

A 13-year Stater Bros. employee, Stoffel will oversee the San Bernardino-based supermarket chain’s management, procurement, data management, and its quality assurance program for Stater Bros. brand products, according to a statement on the company’s website.

Stoffel will report to Dennis McIntyre, executive vice president, and chief marketing officer.

“Paul is a well-respected and valuable member of the Stater Bros. family,” said Pete Van Helden, the company’s chief executive officer, in the statement.  “He consistently demonstrates strategic focus and forward-thinking.”

Stoffel has more than 23 years of experience in the grocery industry. He began working with Stater Bros. in 1997 as a clerk at its Arlington store. He was promoted to merchandising in 2005, according to the statement.
