Palm Spring International Airport has secured another year-found flight.
Swoop Airlines, the ultra-low-cost carrier based in Calgary, will expand its twice-weekly flights between Palm Springs International and Edmonton, Alberta to a 12-month operation, according to a statement on Palm Springs’ website.
Swoop began those flights in December, 2021. An exact date for the change was not published.
This year, nine airlines offering 16 year-round routes are scheduled to fly out of Palm Springs International. That’s an increase of six airlines and ten year-round routes in 2019, the busiest year in the airport’s history.
Palm Springs International has nonstop flights to 35 airports on 13 airlines during the Coachella Valley’s annual tourist season, the most the airport has ever had, according to the statement.
