United Airlines has begun daily nonstop flights between Palm Springs to Washington, D.C.
The flights to and from Palm Springs International Airport and Dulles International Airport began last month and will end April 30, according to a statement on Palm Springs’ website.
These are the first nonstop commercial flights between the Coachella Valley and the nation’s capital. Once they arrive in Washington, D.C., air travelers can connect to more than 100 cities worldwide.
“Our addition of nonstop service to Washington, D.C.’s Dulles International Airport underscores Palm Springs International’s success in expanding air service and connecting the Coachella Valley to global destinations,” said Harry Barrett, Jr., the airport’s executive director of aviation, in the statement.
Palm Springs International is owned and operated by the city of Palm Springs. The airport has nonstop flights to 30 destinations, and one-stop connections to more than 300 cities worldwide, according to the statement.
