The University of Redlands has completed its merger with Woodbury University in Burbank.
Following a two-year review, the U.S. Department of Education recently approved the merger, making it official, according to a statement on the University of Redlands’ website.
The University of Redlands as the continuing and responsible institution, meaning it will manage, and execute specific long-term obligations, while Woodbury will operate as the University of Redlands, Los Angeles.
“This is a defining moment for our institution,” said University of Redlands President Krista Newkirk in the statement. “Over the past two years, we’ve seen just how naturally our communities align through a shared commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.”
