Casino expansion gets finishing touches

Landscaping has been completed at the expanded Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula.

Lifescapes International in Newport Beach moved 18 specimen trees and installed approximately 10,260 trees and shrubs on the property, according to a statement.

The $300 million expansion made the facility twice its original size and the largest resort and casino of its kind on the west coast.

The Pechanga tribe broke ground on the expansion in December 2015. The hotel tower opened in December and the pool complex in March.
