Clare Weber, deputy provost at Cal State San Bernardino, has been elected to a second term on the board of directors of an inner-city community organization.
Founded 30 years ago, the Community Coalition organizes minority communities in south Los Angeles, according to a statement on the university’s website.
Weber is currently the chair of the organization’s policy committee.
“Community Coalitions is a fantastic organization, and it is an honor to be a part of it,” Weber said in the statement. “Our roots are in South Los Angeles, but our policy work has positively impacted black and brown communities throughout the state.”
Weber joined Cal State San Bernardino three years ago. She is deputy provost and vice provost for academic programs, and the university’s accreditation liaison officer, according to the statement.
