Grocery Outlet will be opening a High Desert store reflecting its modern prototype.
The discount chain, which operates more than 350 stores in six states, has leased a 16,100 square-foot-site at Hi Desert Plaza in Victorville, according to a statement released by Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga.
Terms of the agreement were not released. The store is expected to open this summer.
Progressive Real Estate marketed the property and represented the landlord, BH Properties LLC in Los Angeles. SRS Real Estate Estate Partners in Newport Beach represented Grocery Outlet.
“We are delighted to welcome Grocery Outlet to Hi Desert Plaza,” said Brad Umansky, president of Progressive Real Estate and a member of the negotiating team, in a statement. “This space had been vacant for some time, so in addition to providing the local community with a great new grocery store, the shopping center gains a new anchor tenant.”
Hi Desert Plaza is at Hesperia and Bear Valley roads. DD’s Discounts, Dollar Tree, Aaron’s, Goodwill and Bank of America are among the retailers located there.
An estimated 72,000 vehicles pass through that intersection every day, and about 177,000 people live within a five-mile radius of the site, according to the statement.
